Background: Amplification of the programmed cell death-ligand 1 gene () is highly prevalent and associated with a high response rate to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in lymphomas, and is also a potential biomarker for ICI treatment of solid tumors. However, the efficacy of ICIs for solid tumors with amplification identified by comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) has been unclear. We here examined ICI efficacy for solid tumors with amplification identified by CGP in a national database.

Combined Exercise and Nutritional Therapy Improves Physical Functions and Activities of Daily Living in Patients With Multimorbidity Undergoing Convalescent Rehabilitation: A Case Report.

Currently, there is inadequate evidence on the effects of combined rehabilitation and nutritional therapy for patients with multimorbidity. Therefore, in this report, we describe a case of combined rehabilitation and nutritional therapies with favorable outcomes in a patient with duplicated musculoskeletal and cerebrovascular diseases. An 80-year-old female patient was admitted to a convalescent rehabilitation ward after undergoing left total knee arthroplasty.

Objective: The association between dysphagia and activities of daily living in patients with stroke has been reported, but the effect of improved dysphagia on the increase in trunk muscle mass is not clear. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between improved dysphagia and increased trunk muscle mass in older patients with stroke.

Factors affecting negative and positive emotions among spouses caring for patients with psychotic or bipolar disorder.

Aim: Spouses experience conflicting emotions when caring for partners with severe mental illnesses. They can have negative emotions while also regarding caregiving as positive and may develop a better marital relationship through the caregiving process. This study investigated factors affecting the negative and positive emotions of husbands and wives acting as caregivers of their spouses with severe mental illnesses.
