Background: The objective of this research was the development and evaluation of Pb-labelled panitumumab (Pb-PSC-panitumumab) as an immuno-SPECT radioligand for the detection of EGFR + head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) in a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse model. The 51.9 h physical half-life and favourable γ-emission (279 keV; 81%) of Pb offer an excellent opportunity for developing immuno-SPECT radioligands.

: About 65-90% of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) express the epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) as a transmembrane protein that is activated by binding of specific ligands, including epidermal growth factor and transforming growth factor α (TGFα). Identifying EGFR as an oncogene has led to the development of anticancer therapeutics directed against EGFR, including the full-length human IgG monoclonal antibody panitumumab. The main goal of the present study was to investigate Cu-labeled panitumumab with immuno-PET in subcutaneous and metastatic EGFR-positive NSCLC xenografts.

Selective delivery of chemotherapy to the tumor site while sparing healthy cells and tissues is an attractive approach for cancer treatment. Carriers such as peptides can facilitate selective tumor targeting and payload delivery. The objective of the present study was the fabrication of a wound dressing membrane based on RGD modified polybutylene adipate--terephthalate (PBAT)/gelatin nanofibrous structures loaded with doxycycline (DOX). This type of nanofiber for wound healing has not been reported so far and is quite novel. PBAT and gelatin nanofibers were separately electrospun using double needles electrospinning setup.
