Psychological inflexibility and anxiety among house officers in a hospital in Selangor, Malaysia.

Background: Anxiety is common among house officers. Psychological inflexibility increases the risk of anxiety. This study aimed to determine the associations between anxiety and sociodemographic factors, work-related variables, and psychological inflexibility, and to identify predictors for anxiety among house officers in a hospital in Malaysia.

Recently, we showed that the non-beta IL-2 SYNTHORIN molecule SAR444336 (SAR'336) can bypass the induction of autoimmune and inflammatory responses by increasing its reliance on IL-2 receptor α chain subunit (CD25) to provide a bona fide IL-2 signal selectively to Tregs, making it an attractive approach for the control of autoimmunity. In this report, we further demonstrate that SAR'336 can support non-beta IL-2 signaling in murine Tregs and limit NK and CD8+ T cells' proliferation and function.

Melatonin ameliorates inflammation and improves outcomes of ischemia/reperfusion injury in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery: a randomized placebo-controlled study.

To investigate the protective role of high dose melatonin concerning myocardial I/R injury and inflammation in patients undergoing on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery by evaluating IR/inflammatory biomarkers and clinical outcomes. This was a prospective; randomized; single-blinded placebo-controlled study conducted at cardio-thoracic surgery department of the Academy of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Ain Shams University. Eligible patients were randomly allocated to; melatonin-treated group (MTG) or placebo-treated group (PTG).

Evaluation of the Clinical Outcomes of Cyclosporine Short Infusion Versus Continuous Infusion Postallogenic Stem Cell Transplantation.

Background And Objective: Cyclosporin A (CsA) exhibits a narrow therapeutic index and large inter-individual variation in pharmacokinetics. Two intermittent and 24-h continuous infusions (CI) are both commonly used regimens in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), with no universal consensus. The objective of this study was to assess whether CsA as a 2-h, twice-daily intravenous infusion (2 h/12 h) is non-inferior to 22 h CI every 24 h (22 h-CI/24 h) in terms of acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) incidence and adverse events in allogeneic HSCT adult patients.
