[Use of the prokinetic domperidine in patients in the early postoperative period].

The work focuses on the comparison of influence of domperidone and metoclopramide on rehabilitation of motor-evacuation function of stomach and small intestine in 82 patients with post-surgical flatulent distention. For group 1 (n=50) - metoclopramide was administered intravenously from the 1st postoperative day, 10 mg 3 times a day. For group 2 (n=32) - domperidone was used from the 1st postoperative day (motilium suspension), 20 ml 4 times a day.

[Possible mechanisms of small bowel propulsion regulation within early periods after abdominal cavity organ surgeries].

The impact of various prokinetic drugs on small bowel propulsion was studied in a rat model at the post-surgical period (laparotomy plus manipulation of the gut). Intestinal transit was measured by the migration of Evans blue marker. It was shown that the small bowel transit was decelerated after laparotomy.

[Effect of enterally administrated oxygenated water on electrical activity of the small intestine in early postoperative period in rats].

The effect of oxygen, structurally-binded with water (oxygen water), on electrical activity of rat jejunum in early postoperative period. It was shown, that in contrast to effect of 0.9% NaCl, there is normalization of electrical activity parameters (frequency and slow wave amplitude) of jejunum in early postoperative period under the influence of oxygen water.

[Role of glutamine in enteral nutrition in intestinal insufficiency].

In this review the role of glutamine in enteral nutrition in intestinal insufficiency is shown. It is emphasized, that glutamine plays an important role in preservation of structure and function of intestines in normal state and under stressful condition.
