Nasal telangiectatic osteosarcoma with direct extension to the brain in a domestic shorthair cat.

Case Summary: This case report describes the clinical and pathological features of telangiectatic osteosarcoma (TOS) with brain invasion in a 4-year-old female domestic shorthair cat. The cat presented with respiratory distress, epistaxis, anorexia and significant nasal obstruction. A rhinoscopy revealed an amorphous white neoformation in the left nasal cavity.

Improving the rheological properties of ultra-processed powdered goat milk beverage using texture additives.

This study aimed to investigate the static and dynamic rheological properties of an ultra-processed powdered goat milk beverage containing carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), guar gum (GG), and xanthan gum (XG), using a mixture design. Fourteen samples were evaluated, in addition to the original beverage. The flow curves classified the fluids as non-Newtonian and characterized all the reconstituted beverages with pseudoplastic behavior, precisely due to the addition of hydrocolloids that increased the viscosity, and the fresh beverage sample showed the behavior of a dilatant fluid.

Offer of integrative and complementary health practices for the elderly in health services: A protocol for systematic review and meta analysis.

Introduction: Integrative and complementary health practices (ICHP) question the hegemony of the biomedical, technical and hospital paradigm, as they are an important axis in the process of redefining the health care model. Understanding how ICHP are offered to the elderly population can help to improve the production of changes in care and in the daily life of health services.

Objective: To identify and summarize the scientific evidence on the provision of ICHP for the elderly in health services.

Autism and Down syndrome: early identification and diagnosis.

The diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Down syndrome (DS) is underestimated because it is necessary to understand which aspects of the behavioral phenotype are related to DS and which are related to ASD. Objective: To conduct a systematic review of the literature on early identification and diagnosis of ASD in patients with DS. Data source: The VHL, MEDLINE, Cochrane, CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science and Embase databases were searched and data were evaluated using PRISMA.

Health Equity in Pediatric Drug Development: Translating Aspiration into Operation.

The concept of health equity-the attainment of the highest possible level of health for all members of society-requires equitable access to all aspects of healthcare, including pediatric drug development. However, many communities are under-represented in pediatric drug development programs. Barriers to participation include geographic, economic, racial/ethnic bias, legal, cultural, linguistic, and other factors.
