Different concentrations of rare earth Sm - and Dy -activated MgCaAl O phosphors were synthesized using the combustion route and their detailed luminescence investigations are reported in this paper. The photoluminescence excitation spectra of Sm - and Dy -activated MgCaAl O phosphor show multiple peaks in the ultraviolet light region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The characteristic emission spectra of the MgCaAl O :Sm phosphor are located at 563 nm, 594 nm, and 644 nm, with the maximum emission intensity occurring at 594 nm.

The synthesis of BiPO :Eu phosphors has been achieved via a wet chemical process. X-ray diffraction patterns show that the phase of the as-prepared samples matches very well with the standard BiPO structure. At 395 nm, the highest excitation intensity was observed.

KBaPO luminescent powdered phosphors doped with rare earth elements (RE = Sm ,Eu ,Dy ) were successfully synthesized using a wet chemical method to identify the most suitable phosphor for solid-state lighting based on the measurement of their emission spectra at excitation wavelengths. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the as-prepared KBaPO was well matched with its standard JCPDS file no. 330996, indicating the formation of the desired compound.
