Background: DNA methylation (DNAm) data from human samples has been leveraged to develop "epigenetic clock" algorithms that predict age and other aging-related phenotypes. Some DNAm clocks were trained using DNAm obtained from blood cells, while other clocks were trained using data from diverse tissue/cell types. To assess how DNAm clocks perform across non-blood tissue types, we applied DNAm algorithms to DNAm data generated from 9 different human tissue types.

Feed intolerance was not higher in neonates who received preterm formula than those who received pasteurized donor human milk (24.4% vs 20%; OR (95% CI) 0.

-(1,3-Dimethylbutyl)-'-phenyl--phenylenediamine-quinone (6PPD-Q) is a rubber-tire derivative which leaches into surface waters from roadway runoff, from tire particles and has been identified as a possible driver of urban runoff mortality syndrome in coho salmon. Sensitivity to this toxicant is highly variable across fish species and life stages. With environmental concentrations meeting or exceeding toxicity thresholds in sensitive fishes, the potential for ecologically relevant effects is significant.

The Ayurvedic Formulary of India (AFI) provides details about these detoxification (known as "sodhana") processes as per traditional procedures. This research endeavor aimed to uncover the fundamental principles underlying the detoxification approach applied to , commonly referred to as "swet chitrak", in which plumbagin is the primary toxic constituent.

Neuropathic pain (NP) is a chronic condition caused by abnormal neuronal excitability in the nervous system. Current treatments for NP are often ineffective or poorly tolerated. Hence, we reviewed the efficacy and safety of novel drugs or devices that target neuronal excitability in NP patients compared with placebo, sham, or usual care interventions.
