On two species of Aniptumnus Ng, 2002 (Crustacea: Brachyura: Pilumnidae) from India, with a description of a new species from the coast of Kerala.

The taxonomy of two species of Indian pilumnid crabs is treated herein. Heteropanope neolaevis Deb, 1985, originally described from northeastern India, is retained in the genus Aniptumnus Ng, 2002 as a valid species and removed from synonymy with Aniptumnus quadridentatus (De Man, 1895). A new species, Aniptumnus bijoyi, is described from southwestern India, based on distinguishing features in the carapace, thoracic sternum, pereopods and gonopods.

Anthropogenic nutrient loads and season variability drive high atmospheric NO fluxes in a fragmented mangrove system.

Fragmented mangroves are generally ignored in NO flux studies. Here we report observations over the course of a year from the Mangalavanam coastal wetland in Southern India. The wetland is a fragmented mangrove stand close to a large urban centre with high anthropogenic nitrogen inputs.

Structure-Function Assessment and High-Throughput Quantification of Site-Specific Aspartate Isomerization in Monoclonal Antibody Using a Novel Analytical Tool Kit.

Isomerization of surface-exposed aspartic acid (Asp) in the complementarity-determining regions of therapeutic proteins could potentially impact their target binding affinity because of the sensitive location, and often requires complex analytical tactics to understand its effect on structure-function and stability. Inaccurate quantitation of Asp-isomerized variants, especially the succinimide intermediate, presents major challenge in understanding Asp degradation kinetics, its stability, and consequently establishing a robust control strategy. As a practical solution to this problem, a comprehensive analytical tool kit has been developed, which provides a solution to fully characterize and accurately quantify the Asp-related product variants.

Psychometric properties of the Children's Dermatology Life Quality Index in pediatric localized scleroderma.

Introduction: The Children's Dermatology Life Quality Index has been used to measure quality of life in studies of pediatric localized scleroderma, which suggested only modest effects on quality of life. However, the Children's Dermatology Life Quality Index psychometric performance has not been examined in localized scleroderma and it was validated in populations lacking localized scleroderma's distinctive clinical features, possibly underestimating the quality of life impact. This study assessed psychometric properties of the Children's Dermatology Life Quality Index in a cohort of pediatric localized scleroderma patients.
