An integrated engineering worldview of synthetic biology education through the lens of webinar based pedagogy.

Synthetic biology is an interdisciplinary field that brings together engineering and biology concepts alongside the arts and social sciences to develop solutions to pressing problems in our world. The education of students entering this field has relied on a diverse set of pedagogical methods to accomplish this goal. One non-profit group, iGEM-the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition, has been a driver of students' awareness of synthetic biology for the last 20 years giving many young researchers their first experience in the field of synthetic biology.

Right Atrial and Endocardial Lead Mass Secondary to Anterior Mediastinal Mass Encasing Left Subclavian Vein.

Introduction: Multimodality cardiac imaging is a valuable tool for the noninvasive evaluation of right atrial masses (tumor, vegetation, or thrombus).

Case Presentation: We report a case of right atrial mass that was discovered on a transthoracic echocardiogram ordered for pacemaker-pocket erythema in a 101-year-old man with heart failure/reduced left-ventricular ejection fraction and a dual-chamber pacemaker. Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiogram showed a large hypoechoic mobile RA mass extending from the superior vena cava, with pacemaker device lead attachment.

Delayed Presentation of Inferior STEMI Complicated by Ventricular Septal Rupture: An Indirect Consequence of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely impacted healthcare delivery. An indirect consequence of the rational fear of contracting the virus is delayed medical attention for life threatening conditions. We present the case of inferior ST elevation myocardial infarction leading to the rare complication of a ventricular septal rupture reflecting transmural infarction.

COVID-19: Consequences on pregnant women and neonates.

Introduction: Human species is confronting with a gigantic global COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, it was observed in Wuhan, China, and the COVID-19 cases spread across the globe with lightning speed and resulted in the 21st century pandemic. If scientific reports are taken care of, it is noteworthy that this virus possesses more specific characteristics due to its structure.

MODERNA mRNA-1273 vaccine-associated myopericarditis in a patient with a subclinical autoimmune predisposition.

We present a rare case of myopericarditis developing one day after the injection of the second dose of the MODERNA mRNA-1273 vaccine (Cambridge, MA, USA). The patient complained of typical positional chest pain with initial laboratory results significant for elevated troponin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and C-reactive protein. Autoimmune predisposition was suggested by elevated anti-nuclear antibodies and anti-Sjögren's-syndrome-related antigen A autoantibodies titers.
