Flow-Through Arterialized Posterior Interosseous Nerve Grafts for Digital Neurovascular Bundle Defects: Anatomical Study.

Background: Digital neurovascular bundle defects are often encountered during crush or avulsion injuries and require complex reconstruction. Use of an arterialized nerve graft (neurovascular graft) serving both as an interpositional arterial conduit and as a nerve graft could be a reconstructive option in these cases. In this anatomical study, the authors aimed to describe a neurovascular graft of the posterior interosseous nerve and a branch of the anterior interosseous artery for neurovascular bundle reconstruction of the fingers.

Perforator-Based Intercostal Artery Muscle Flap: A Novel Approach for the Treatment of Tracheoesophageal or Bronchoesophageal Fistulas.

Summary: Postoperative tracheoesophageal or bronchoesophageal fistulas represent a major surgical challenge. The authors report the description of an original perforator-based intercostal artery muscle flap, aiming to cover all types of intrathoracic fistulas, from any location, in difficult cases such as postoperative fistulas after esophagectomy in an irradiated field. Between June of 2016 and January of 2019, eight male patients were treated with a perforator-based intercostal artery muscle flap.

Background: After massive weight loss (MWL), female patients often develop upper trunk laxity and severe breast deformities. Usually several procedures are required to address upper body contouring issues.
