The clinical reasoning skills is often gained when the biomedical knowledge is broadened and deepened alongside exposure to patients. The 'ideal' blend of axioms of clinical reasoning and case based learning would establish the pedagogical bridges right from the first year of medical education. So this study aimed to investigate the perceived importance and efficacy of teaching clinical reasoning skills among first year medical students, as this has not previously been described.

This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of MetS and its correlation with comorbidities and health related quality of life (HRQoL) in South Indian patients with COPD.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among the 76 COPD patients.
We report two cases of plunging ranula, which had recurred after marsupialization. Both were successfully treated by removal of the ipsilateral sublingual gland. A brief review of the literature regarding the treatment options is presented.
