Encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) constitutes a rare but one of the most serious complications of long-term peritoneal dialysis (PD) in children. The role of abdominal computed tomography (CT) imaging in the early recognition and management of EPS is of great importance and should be performed promptly to establish diagnosis. This fact can provide an opportunity for conservative treatment with corticosteroids and tamoxifen, as it appears that early treatment can have beneficial effects.
