Cryoglobulinemia is a biochemical disorder accompanying many infectious, systemic, and lymphoproliferative conditions. Cryoglobulins are proteins capable of reversible precipitation or gel formation at temperatures below 37 degrees C. There are 3 types of cryoglobulins depending on the type of immunoglobulins in their composition; hence, three types of cryoglobulinemia occurring in different diseases.
