[Characteristics of the steroid hormone binding system in hepatocyte plasma membranes].

Parameters of cortisone and estradiol binding to plasmatic membranes of rat hepatocytes were studied by liquid scintillation radiometry. Two systems of binding these hormones were revealed in the membranes. One of the systems is specific (saturated) and binds the hormones in physiological concentrations.

[Dynamics of bilignost distribution in different exposures of the body in white rats].

The dynamics of distribution of 125I- and 131I-bilignost in intact rats has been studied in experimental pathological condition of the liver. It has been shown that the cholecystographic radiographic contrast agent (RCA) bilignost is absorbed and accumulated mainly by the liver. This indicates that the preparation elicits a selective action with respect to the liver.

[Effect of 7 days of administration of prednisolone and methandrostenolone on the incorporation of glycine-1-c14 into liver, thymus and splenic proteins].

Daily injections of prednisolone (10 mg/kg) for a space of 7 days to albino male-rats cause an increased synthesis of nuclear and mitochondrial proteins without changing the protein synthesis of other liver fractions. Following injection of prednisolone the protein synthesis in the spleen went up and in the thymus remained unchanged. This was paralleled by stronger decay processes of the lymphoid organs.
