Unlabelled: Chronic arterial insufficiency of lower limbs (CAILL) is a common cardiovascular disease that affects 200 million subjects worldwide: from 4 to 12% of people aged 55-70 years and 20% - over 70 years. The cause of blood circulation disorder in this disease is usually a complex of pathological changes including abnormality of vessel walls' anatomical structure or integrity, disorder of blood rheological properties and alterations of its thrombotic potential. Thus, the therapy of patients with CAILL aiming at hemostasis and, in particular, platelets' aggregation is one of the most urgent problems of medicine.

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is a severe hypersensitivity reaction characterized by cutaneous rash, lymphadenopathy, fever, eosinophilia, leukocytosis, and life-threatening organ dysfunctions. We describe the case of a 26 year old patient admitted to the Emergency Department for DRESS syndrome after sulfasalazine treatment for rheumatoid arthritis in the right knee. Whole body computer tomography showed multiple neck, chest, and abdominal lymphadenopathy with splenomegaly, massive ascites and severe hepatic cytolysis.

The goal of the current study was to identify the role of the glucocorticoids in the respiratory effects of proinflammatory cytokines. For this purpose intravenous injections of TNF-α were used in anesthetized spontaneously breathing rats before and after pretreatment of dexamethasone, a synthetic steroid with predominant glucocorticoid activity. Dexamethasone was injected intraperitoneally at a dose of 1 mg/kg.
