Programmed cell death (PCD) is a characteristic of all living beings in process of their development and in response to biotic and abiotic factors effects. On the pattern of the growing old 7-8th leaves of the sugar-beet (Beta vulgaris L.) of the first year vegetation of Belocerkovskaya singl-seed-45 sort character of the degradation and state of the methylation GTCGAC- and CTGCAG-sequences of the DNA were investigated.

[Variability of DNA methylation in sugar beet morphogenesis].

The state of DNA methylation in green leaves and etiolated seedlings of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) were compared. Using methylsensitive enzymes of restriction the site-specificity of DNA methylation was shown.

[Plasma fibronectin level in patients with chronic diseases of the liver].

The diagnostic value of determination of plasma fibronectin in chronic hepatic diseases was examined on the basis of the data available in the literature and the authors' own results of studies. The procedure for measuring fibronectin in healthy subjects and patients with hepatic cirrhoses and chronic persistent hepatitis is briefly outlined. Possible mechanisms of fibronectin level alterations are discussed in these pathological processes.
