Preeclampsia is a severe disease of late pregnancy. Etiological factors and a pathogenetic pattern of events still require significant clarification, but it is now recognized that a large role is played by placentation disorders and emerging endothelial dysfunction. The administration of short-chain peptides mimicking the spatial structure of the B erythropoietin chain may become one of the directions of searching for new drugs for preeclampsia prevention and therapy.

Application of a sevoflurane, in comparison with propofol and, especially, a halothane, to a lesser extent influences structurally functional properties of erythrocytes that demands profile development ofpharmacological correction of the revealed violations.

[Evaluation of immunobiological activity of Francisella tularensis C-complex preparations as promising component of subunit vaccines].

Data on influence of Francisella tularensis C-complex preparations on formation of immunity against tularemia are presented. Study of cellular immunity characteristics as well as dynamics of antibody response was carried out on white mice and guinea pigs models. Absence of toxicity, pyrogenicity, and negative effects on immunocompetent cells in combination with protective activity points to possibility of use the C-complex as a component of a subunit vaccine.

[Efficacy of low intensity laser irradiation and sodium nedocromil in the complex treatment of patients with bronchial asthma].

Aim: To study efficiency of low-intensity laser radiation (LILR) and sodium nedokromil (tailed) in combined treatment of bronchial asthma (BA).

Material And Methods: The choice of the treatment depended on the activity of bronchial inflammation and the presence of contraindications. Laser was used on the skin in the area of the lung and great vessels projection, endobronchially.

[Assessment of proteinograms obtained using the Beckman Paragon system].

A high resolving capacity of agarose gel in electrophoretic separation of blood serum proteins permits the isolation of 7 or 8 fractions instead of 5 routinely isolated by paper or acetate cellulose film electrophoresis. The strips on proteinograms obtained using Beckman Paragon device are identified. The authors emphasize that reference values should be determined for each laboratory and present the proteinograms of 80 normal subjects they obtained.
