Coexistence of Hodgkin Lymphoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Tongue: A Case Report and Literature Review.

We report an unusual case of a 39-year-old male patient with a previous history of treated classical Hodgkin lymphoma, presenting with tongue ulcer and left ear pain who was subsequently diagnosed with invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx. This case highlights the importance of vigilance in patients with a history of lymphoma and the potential for the development of secondary malignancies. We discuss the clinical, radiological, and pathological findings and emphasize the need for close monitoring and early intervention in such cases.

Antibiofilm and Antiquorum Sensing Potential of Pheretima posthum.

Antibiotic resistance is a world wide problem mainly in developing countries. In this work, coelomic fluid (PCF) and paste (PBP) of Pheretima posthuma was assessed for its potential as antibiofilm and anti-quorum sensing (QS) agent against pathogenic bacterial biofilms. PCF and PBP were extracted and biofilm formation time kinetics was examined using crystal violet staining method by utilizing four bacterial isolates in bispecies biofilm (06 combinations; MH5-MH10) and multi species biofilms (05 combinations; MH11-MH15).

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation complexity score.

Background: Increasing demand for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) places greater emphasis on the efficiency of pathways and services. A significant limitation to increasing TAVI capacity is the availability of cardiac catheterisation laboratory time. We have developed a novel complexity scoring system (TAVI ComplEXity; TEX score) which can aid in planning lists with appropriate case selection.

Exploration of Agrocybe aegerita mushroom polysaccharide-polyphenolic complex: Functional properties, binding efficiency, and biological activities.

This study investigates the functional and biological activities of a polysaccharide-polyphenolic complex derived from the edible mushroom Agrocybe aegerita. Polyphenols (AMP) were extracted using a modified solvent evaporation technique, and polysaccharides (AMPP) were extracted using enzyme-assisted methods, yielding 8.02 %.

Retail availability of oral nicotine pouches in 3 US cities: A geographic analysis.

Introduction: Sales of oral nicotine pouches (ONPs), including brands such as Zyn, on!, Velo, and Rogue, have risen precipitously in the US. One potential driver of ONP use may be exposure to the products and their marketing in local tobacco retailers. This study examines the prevalence and correlates of ONP availability in a large, representative sample of tobacco retailers in three major US cities.
