Introduction: Sickle cell syndrome (SCS) represent a real health problem. In this work, we propose to study the epidemiological and clinical features of 66 patients with SCS.

Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive cross-sectional study carried out on a population of 66 patients with SCS, (36 S/S, 18 S/β-thalassemia, seven S/C and five S/O), over a period of two years.

Organochlorines pesticides (OCPs) are persistent organic pollutants known by their persistence, their ability to bioaccumulate in the food chain and by their toxicity. This work aims to analyze pesticides in draining water samples taken from two different regions from Tunisia. A liquid-liquid extraction method proposed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been adopted for the extraction of OCPs from draining water.

One of the advanced oxidative processes is gamma irradiation, an efficient technique for removing pesticides and pharmaceutical products.
