Congenital coronary pulmonary artery fistula (CAF) is rare, and systemic-to-pulmonary artery fistula (SPAF) is even more so. Furthermore, congenital coronary pulmonary fistula associated with congenital SPAF is extremely rare. As far as we know, CAF and SPAF connected with an aneurysm have not been described very often.

A true aneurysm of posterior tibial artery.

True aneurysms of tibial artery are uncommon. We report a case of a 47-year-old woman who suffered from a distal embolism in the left toes. The surgical intervention involved an aneurysmectomy and the interposition of the posterior tibial artery using the saphenous vein graft.

Successful emergency aortic valve replacement following percutaneous cardiopulmonary support for the patient with aortic stenosis and cardiac arrest.

We present a 57-year-old woman with severe aortic stenosis. She was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction by electrocardiography and the detection of elevated creatine phosphokinase in another hospital. Soon after transfer to our hospital, this patient developed cardiac arrest.

Correlation of Lorenz scatterplots with frequency-domain heart rate variability.

Heart rate (HR) variability is important with respect to disease prognosis and the effects of drugs. Lorenz scatterplots provide a simple way to evaluate HR variability visually. The relation of Lorenz scatterplots to frequency-domain HR variability was examined in 75 Holter recordings and in simulated HR trends.
