To report the University of Florence technique for robot-assisted kidney transplantation (RAKT) from living donor (LD) and deceased donor (DD), highlighting the evolution of surgical indications and technical nuances in light of a single surgeon's learning curve. A dedicated program for RAKT from LDs was developed at our Institution in 2017 and implemented later with a specific framework for DDs. All RAKTs were performed by a single highly experienced surgeon.

Microalgae are considered good bioindicators of marine environmental quality. Frequently, they are used to investigate the toxicity of sediment elutriates, but their sensitivity is disputed. This paper compared the sensitivity of Phaeodactylum tricornutum (diatom), Skeletonema costatum (diatom), and Dunaliella tertiolecta (green alga), analyzing 257 samples of elutriates (1:4 sediment: water ratio), considering growth inhibition (72 h) as the reference endpoint and sediment chemical (metals, metalloids and polyaromatic hydrocarbons) and grain size.

Purpose: To report a multi-institutional experience on robotic radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) and segmental ureterectomy (SU) for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Methods: Data were prospectively collected from patients with non-metastatic UTUC undergoing robotic SU or RNU at three referral centers between 2015 and 2018. Transperitoneal, single-docking robotic RNU followed established principles.
