Multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests are already being marketed as noninvasive, convenient opportunities to test for multiple cancer types with a single blood sample. The technology varies-involving detection of circulating tumor DNA, fragments of DNA, RNA, or proteins unique to each targeted cancer. The priorities and tradeoffs of reaching diagnostic resolution in the setting of possible false positives and negatives remain under active study.

To reduce morbidity and mortality rates of cardiovascular disease, an urgent need exists to improve cardiovascular health among US adults. In 2022, the American Heart Association issued Life's Essential 8, which identifies and defines 8 health behaviors and factors that, when optimized through a combination of primary prevention, risk factor management, and effective treatments, can promote ideal cardiovascular health. Because of its central role in patient care across the life span, primary care is in a strategic position to promote Life's Essential 8 and improve cardiovascular health in the United States.

Background: To increase real-world adoption of effective telehealth-delivered behavioral health interventions among midlife and older adults with cardiovascular disease, incorporating implementation science (IS) methods at earlier stages of intervention development may be needed.

Objective: This study aims to describe how IS can be incorporated into the design and interpretation of a study assessing the feasibility and implementation potential of a technology-delivered behavioral health intervention.

Methods: We assessed the feasibility and implementation potential of a 2-session, remotely delivered, home-based behavioral intervention composed of psychoeducation, interoceptive exposure through low-to-moderate intensity walking, interoceptive counseling, and homework (Reducing Exercise Sensitivity with Exposure Training; RESET) among patients with recent acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and some fear of exercise.

Nearly 1% of babies are born with congenital heart disease-many of whom will require heart surgery within the first few years of life. A detailed understanding of cardiac maturation can help to expand our knowledge on cardiac diseases that develop during gestation, identify age-appropriate drug therapies, and inform clinical care decisions related to surgical repair and postoperative management. Yet, to date, our knowledge of the temporal changes that cardiomyocytes undergo during postnatal development is limited.
