Synthetic breakthroughs diversify the molecules and polymers available to chemists. We now report the first successful synthesis of a series of optically-pure 2,2'-tethered binaphthyl-embedded helical ladder polymers based on quantitative and chemoselective ladderization by the modified alkyne benzannulations using the 4-alkoxy-2,6-dimethylphenylethynyl group as the alkyne source, inaccessible by the conventional approach lacking the 2,6-dimethyl substituents. Due to the defect-free helix formation, the circular dichroism signal increased by more than 6 times the previously reported value.

The alignment of molecular electronic levels in a molecular multilayer is of crucial importance to realize desired functions for molecular devices. Amplitude-modulation-feedback frequency-modulation electrostatic force microscopy combined with Fowler-Nordheim tunneling spectroscopy is utilized as a probe for the energy-level alignment in an organic multilayer. Bias-dependent electrostatic force spectra were examined for bilayers including a Ru complex as a benchmark multilayer system.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Chinese government subsidy on e-waste treatment formal and informal reverse supply chains (RSC) and to explore the optimal formal channel structure. Under the formal recycler-Stackelberg game, we establish three game theory models respectively under the conditions of price insensitive and price sensitive overall collection quantity. In each model, a dual-channel RSC, the green technology investment decision of formal recycler and a subsidy for formal recycler are modelled.

Water pollution derived from organic pollutants is one of the global environmental problems. The Fenton reaction using Fe as a homogeneous catalyst has been known as one of clean methods for oxidative degradation of organic pollutants. Here, a layered double hydroxide (Fe Al -LDH) containing Fe and Al in the structure was used to develop a "heterogeneous" Fenton catalyst capable of mineralizing organic pollutants.
