Two new benzene-containing polyketides, cryptoic acids A (1) and B (2), along with a new acylated diketopiperazine designated cyclocryptamide (3), were isolated from the culture extract of Cryptosporangium sp. YDKA-T02. The absolute configuration of amino acid components in 3 was determined by Marfey's method.

Contrast computed tomography (CT) scan was revealed a 31×21×25 mm mass in the anterior mediastinum, with low contrast, clear border, and a tendency to increase. On magnetic resonance imaging( MRI) examination, the anterior mediastinal tumor showed homogeneous high signal intensity on T1-weighted images and a combination of high and low signal intensities on T2-weighted images.

Methods: This cohort study enrolled all 521 patients with childhood-onset type 1 diabetes with the year of onset from 1959 to 1996 in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. We calculated the ESRD incidence rate per 100,000 person-years by sex, onset year, onset age, and type 1 diabetes subtype (slowly progressive or acute-onset).
