Antibodies play a crucial role in the humoral immune response against health threats, such as viral infections. Although the theoretical number of human immunoglobulins is well over a trillion, the total number of unique antibody protein sequences accessible in databases is much lower than the number found in a single individual. Training AI (Artificial Intelligence) models, for example to assist in developing serodiagnoses or antibody-based therapies, requires building datasets according to strict criteria to include as many standardized antibody sequences as possible.

This plethora of formats, sometimes complementary, and often redundant, poses many challenges to bioinformatics data analysts. They constantly need to find the best tool to convert their data into the suitable format, which is often a complex, technical and time consuming task.

Here we assessed the global structure of plankton geography and its relation to the biological, chemical, and physical context of the ocean (the 'seascape') by analyzing metagenomes of plankton communities sampled across oceans during the Oceans expedition, in light of environmental data and ocean current transport. Using a consistent approach across organismal sizes that provides unprecedented resolution to measure changes in genomic composition between communities, we report a pan-ocean, size-dependent plankton biogeography overlying regional heterogeneity.

These proteases are used in different mass spectrometry analyses requiring protein digestions. To perform such digestions, one or multiple proteases are used.

Despite several experimental and numerical studies, if and how diatoms may profit from turbulence is still an open question. One of the leading arguments is that turbulence favours nutrient uptake.
