A dermatological examination is performed on 95 workers (43 men and 52 women). A study is performed on workers from some productions of a Chemical Plant--H-acid, phthalic anhydride, ferrum-oxidate dyes and lacquers, in view of estimating the occupational risk of skin diseases. It is established that the highest occupational risk of skin diseases to which workers are exposed is in the production "H-acid"--25.8%, followed by "Phthalic anhydride"--13.

Immunological and functional studies are performed on workers engaged in the production of plastics, artificial fibres and dyes, in view of clarifying some mechanisms in the evolution of the contact dermatitis and the related with it early changes. The study establishes increased values of IgA and IgG in workers in contact with irritating substances and increased values of IgG in workers in contact with sensitizing substances. In the latter is registered a decrease in the active and the total rosettes.

A method was elaborated for quantitative assessment of the irritating effect of the solvents after a 24-hour contact with healthy subjects. The irritating effect of octanol is weaker, with statistical significance, than that of butanol. Croton aldehyde proved to be the strongest irritator.
