MOOD 2020: A Public Benchmark for Out-of-Distribution Detection and Localization on Medical Images.

Detecting Out-of-Distribution (OoD) data is one of the greatest challenges in safe and robust deployment of machine learning algorithms in medicine. When the algorithms encounter cases that deviate from the distribution of the training data, they often produce incorrect and over-confident predictions. OoD detection algorithms aim to catch erroneous predictions in advance by analysing the data distribution and detecting potential instances of failure.

[Errors made by experts when implementing the Medical Criteria for the estimation of the severity of harm to human health].

This paper is devoted to the analysis of expert errors made in the course of implementation of the Medical Criteria for the estimation of the severity of harm to human health. In 2010, the Moscow Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Expertise issued 11 180 primary expert judgments and acts of forensic medical examination of the total number of 26 196 expertises performed (43%). They include 2797 cases of severe harm to health, 2881 cases of moderate and 5502 cases of mild harm to health.

[Changes in an electroretinogram and biochemical parameters of tear in simulated rabbit retinal ischemia].

The pattern of functional impairments and the antioxidative and antiproteolytic status of tear were studied, by experimentally simulating retinal ischemia in rabbits and during treatment with Selecarten. Simulated retinal ischemia resulted in the development of persistent (up to 3 weeks) retinal electrogenetic disorder. Selecarten instillations produced a moderate neuroprotective effect, by positively affecting retinal function early after ischemia stimulation and accelerated the recovery of retinal electrogenesis late after laser coagulation of retinal vessels.

[Training of medical practitioners of Russian Federation for dealing with dangerous infections in Stavropol Institute for plague control and for working under the conditions of the emergency situation].

There are no doubts at present concerning the necessity of training medical practitioners in Russia for dealing with specially dangerous infections and for work under the conditions of emergency situations. From the day this institute was founded the training of the corresponding personnel was started: first physicians, then biologists and other specialists, including medical assistants and technicians. Additional programs for training specialists were developed, the State License for conducting the course of special post-diploma training was obtained.
