Extracorporeal hemoperfusion (EHP) may improve the course and outcomes of patients with septic shock by targeting cytokines or bacterial endotoxins (lipopolysaccharide [LPS]). Here, we present the results of a multicenter randomized controlled trial ( clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04827407 ) to assess the efficiency and safety of Efferon LPS hemoperfusion cartridges engineered for multimodal targeting LPS, host-derived cytokine, and damage-associated molecule pattern molecules.

After signing informed consent, we included 67 patients with schizophrenia (34 people with acute schizophrenia and 33 individuals were on outpatient treatment in therapeutic remission) and 14 healthy volunteers. IgGs from blood serum were isolated by affinity chromatography.

Thus, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity is an intrinsic property of antibodies, which is confirmed by a number of stringent criteria. SOD activity of IgGs in patients with multiple sclerosis statistically significantly exceeds such activity in healthy individuals by 2-4 times.

Aim: To study effects of microwave resonance therapy (MWRT) on the level of dopamine and some indices of the antioxidant system of blood plasma in patients with alcohol dependence.
Material And Methods: Dopamine, reduced glutathione, activities of catalase and superoxidismutase (SOD) were measured in blood plasma of alcoholic patients (50 men) before and after therapy. Plasma of 25 physically and mentally healthy men matched for age was used as control.
Objective: Clinical and laboratory evaluation of the safety and efficacy of combined application of LPS selective adsorption (using cartridges with immobilized polymyxin B on fibers) and plasma filtration and adsorption (CPFA) in patients with severe sepsis after surgery on the heart and blood vessels.
Material And Methods: The study involved 40 adult patients with severe sepsis after cardiac surgery. Group I included 20 patients who received the combined therapy with LPS-selective adsorption and CPFA in a single circuit.
