We studied status of arterial hypertension, biochemical fat and carbohydrate metabolism index in blood in male rabbits as a result of hyperchlesterolemia and hyperinsulinemia. We found that, chronic injection of insulin to rabbits with high serum cholesterol can increase level of arterial blood pressure.

The experimental studies made showed characteristic changes in lipid peroxidation in animals with different resistance to hypoxia, both intact and those presenting with hypercholesterinemia, which fact might be related to hereditary predisposition, bodily adaptative powers, and functioning on enzymic systems in different levels of oxygen.

Experiments were performed on laboratory rats with acute pancreatitis caused by local freezing the pancreas with chlorethyl. An active action of enzymes alpha-amilase, lipase, phospholipase A2, was revealed. During the first hours, an increase in action of all three enzymes, particularly that of phospholipase A2, was found.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA hypercholesterolemic effect has been examined of the enterosorbent BC-1 capable of binding cholesterol from the standardized solution and bile in in vitro experiments in rats with induced hypercholesterolemia. The results secured suggest to us a high sorption capability of the new sorbent with respect to cholesterol.

In IM, the activity of monooxygenase enzymes (ME) was found to have gotten increased against the background of a decrease in the content of microsomal cytochromes, which event is believed to be secondary to a direct effect of izardine on the liver. In AM, a decline in ME activity appeared to correlate with a decrease in the content of microsomal cytochromes.
