Synopsis: Nowadays there are no clinical, laboratory, or ultrasound criteria to differentiate ectopic tubal pregnancy from tubal molar pregnancy, so a preoperative diagnosis is not possible.
Objective: Tubal ectopic hydatidiform moles are a rare type of gestational trophoblastic disease. The aim of our work is to understand if it is possible to diagnose, preoperatively, a tubal ectopic molar pregnancy, starting from the evaluation of a complicated case report up to performing a review of the literature.
Background: The purpose of our retrospective study was to assess the termination rate and the image quality of MR exams performed in claustrophobic patients under medical hypnosis, as compared to patients undergoing MR under spontaneous breathing general anesthesia.
Methods: Our study was approved by the ethics committee. The "hypnosis group" included consecutive patients that had previously interrupted an MR exam because of claustrophobia.
Numerous dermoscopic structures for the early detection of melanoma have been described. The aim of this study was to illustrate the characteristics of dermoscopic structures that are similar to blotches, but smaller (termed microblotches), and to evaluate their association with other well-known dermoscopic structures. A cross-sectional study design, including 165 dermoscopic images of melanoma was used to define microblotches, and 241 consecutive images of naevi from the HAM10000 database, were studied to evaluate the prevalence of this criterion in both groups.

Design: Randomized controlled trial.
Setting: Academic hospital.
Aim: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) affects about 30% of women in childbearing age with negative impact on patient's quality of life and uterine myomas represent one of the major cause of AUB. Laparoscopic myomectomy has proven to be efficient to reduce uterine bleeding and pelvic pain, but some patients presents postsurgery menhorragia with anemia. To reduce it, the combined use of levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) positioned at the end of surgery, seems to produce a clinically relevant decrease in AUB with a symptomatology improvement.
