Seroma under the amniotic membrane following simple limbal epithelial transplantation.

A woman in her 50s underwent simple limbal epithelial transplantation (SLET) in the left eye for chemical injury with total limbal stem cell deficiency. A seroma, a hitherto unreported complication of the procedure was noted on the 10th postoperative day. It was associated with an accumulation of inflammatory cells and exudates in the inferior part of the amniotic membrane resembling a hypopyon.

Investigating the nature of trust in the medical student-professor relationship: an interview study.

While trust is an essential resource in successful social exchanges, the basis of trust in the student-professor relationship in higher education has not been extensively studied. The purpose of the present study was to gain a better understanding of how trust is developed within a medical school learning environment. To that end, we applied a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews.

Age-Related Ventricular Tachycardia Substrate Characteristics for Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot Before Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Placement.

Background: Ventricular tachycardia (VT) substrate characteristics before transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement (TPVR) in repaired tetralogy of Fallot (rTOF) are unknown.

Objectives: In this study, the authors sought to evaluate substrates for sustained monomorphic VT before TPVR in rTOF.

Methods: Retrospective (2017 to 2021) and prospective (commencing 2021) rTOF patients with native right ventricular outflow tract referred for electrophysiology study (EPS) before TPVR were included.
