Pet Owners' Preferences for Quality of Life Improvements and Costs Related to Innovative Therapies in Feline Pain Associated with Osteoarthritis-A Quantitative Survey.

This research aimed to explore UK cat owners' preferences for treatments for feline osteoarthritis (OA) by exploring preferences around quality of life (QoL) improvements, safety considerations, and costs associated with hypothetical innovative pain therapies. Aspects identified in an existing conceptual framework were extracted for inclusion in exploratory interviews with cat owners ( = 3) to identify key domains that contribute to the QoL of cats. QoL descriptions for cats with OA and hypothetical product attributes were developed and validated through interviews with veterinarians ( = 3).

Interventional Pain Management for the Pediatric Cancer Patient: A Literature Review.

This literature review examines the use of interventional treatments for pain management in pediatric cancer patients. While interventional procedures may be effective in cancer pain management, these procedures are infrequently employed in pediatric cohorts. This underutilization of interventional procedures may be supported by a deficit in randomized, controlled studies and literature regarding their role in pediatric cancer populations.

Associated mood changes with naloxegol therapy for opioid-induced constipation in a patient with psychiatric disease.

The objective of this clinical case report is to highlight unusual adverse effects brought on by naloxegol therapy in a patient with underlying psychiatric illness. The patient is a 68-year-old female, with a psychiatric history of bipolar disorder, who presented for chronic pain management and opioid-induced constipation. After failing other therapies, she was trialed on naloxegol on three separate occasions.

A critical review of reported air concentrations of organic compounds in aircraft cabins.

This paper presents a review and assessment of aircraft cabin air quality studies with measured levels of volatile and semivolatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs). VOC and SVOC concentrations reported for aircraft cabins are compared with those reported for residential and office buildings and for passenger compartments of other types of transportation. An assessment of measurement technologies and quality assurance procedures is included.

Review of studies on flight attendant health and comfort in airliner cabins.

Background: A number of studies have examined the effect of the airliner cabin environment and other factors on the health and comfort of flight attendants (FAs), but no comprehensive review of such studies is available.

Methods: This paper reviews studies conducted after 1980 that addressed FA short-term health and comfort effects. Relevant literature was identified using the National Institute of Health's PUBMED database.
