Background: Fixation of comminuted femur fractures may result in limb length discrepancy. Intraoperative fluoroscopic measurement of the contralateral femur with a ruler is commonly performed to establish a reference for femoral length. No evidence regarding the reliability and accuracy of this technique exists.
