Unlabelled: One critical aspect of managing pediatric glaucoma is the compliance of parents, who are responsible for the care of their children. Achieving consensus between specialists and parents on the organization of comprehensive care is essential for the effective rehabilitation of young patients with glaucoma.
Purpose: This study assesses the level of parental compliance with rehabilitation measures and attempts to identify the factors affecting it during the rehabilitation period of children after surgical treatment of congenital glaucoma.
Aim: To study cytogenetics of peripheral blood lymphocytes in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in the course of therapy with a selective immunodepressant sandimmun and universal cytostatic cyclophosphamide.
Material And Methods: 30 women with lupus-nephritis and nephrotic syndrome received sandimmun in a dose 2.5-7 mg/kg plus 10-20 mg prednisolone for a month with gradual lowering of sandimmun dose to 2.
The results of the authors' investigations demonstrate that sandimmun in mean therapeutic doses given to patients with chronic glomerulonephritis produces nephrotoxic complications in rare cases even when nephroprotective vasodilators are not used. However, administration of the latter (nifedipin, tenziamin, etc.) improves renal hemodynamics that is increases effective renal plasm and blood flow to normal values, lowers renal vascular resistance after 2-3 months of therapy.
