Therapies targeting HER2 are the standard treatment for HER2-positive gastric cancer (GC). Trastuzumab, a monoclonal antibody against HER2, exerts anti-tumor activity through cell growth regulation and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). ADCC is induced by the binding of trastuzumab to Fcγ receptor III (CD16) in natural killer (NK) cells.

Methods: We assessed CD8 + T-cell infiltration of GC tissues by immunohistochemistry, and performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of tumor and normal tissues from 34 patients with GC.
It has been demonstrated that cancer cells that have survived cancer treatment may be more malignant than the original cancer cells. These cells are considered the main cause of metastasis in prognosis. A -overexpressing colon-26 (colon26) was generated to obtain such a malignant cancer cell model, which was confirmed by enhancement of metastatic potential by in vivo tests using mice.

Methods: This multicenter retrospective cohort study was performed in comprehensive rehabilitation units of four hospitals in Japan. The study included 442 patients with hip fractures who underwent surgery (bipolar hip arthroplasty or open reduction and internal fixation) and were hospitalized for treatment between January 2020 and January 2023.
