Designing Atomic Interface in SbS/CdS Heterojunction for Efficient Solar Water Splitting.

In the emerging SbS-based solar energy conversion devices, a CdS buffer layer prepared by chemical bath deposition is commonly used to improve the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. However, the cation diffusion at the SbS/CdS interface induces detrimental defects but is often overlooked. Designing a stable interface in the SbS/CdS heterojunction is essential to achieve high solar energy conversion efficiency.

Interface engineering of TaN thin film photoanode for highly efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting.

Interface engineering is a proven strategy to improve the efficiency of thin film semiconductor based solar energy conversion devices. TaN thin film photoanode is a promising candidate for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting. Yet, a concerted effort to engineer both the bottom and top interfaces of TaN thin film photoanode is still lacking.

Enhancement of Charge Transport in Polythiophene Semiconducting Polymer by Blending with Graphene Nanoparticles.

This paper describes a study on the charge transport in a composite of liquid-exfoliated graphene nanoparticles (GNPs) and a polythiophene semiconducting polymer. While the former component is highly conducting, although it consists of isolated nanostructures, the latter offers an efficient charge transport path between the individual GNPs within the film, overall yielding enhanced charge transport properties of the resulting bi-component system. The electrical characteristics of the composite layers were investigated by means of measurements of time-of-flight photoconductivity and transconductance in field-effect transistors.

[Complications after cardiac injuries].

An analysis of 293 victims with cardiac and pericardium injuries was made. Cardiac complications could appear suddenly and be registered on any stage of treatment process. They differentiated by character and duration of wound process.

[On the question of heart injuries].

The work is devoted to an analysis of hospitalized patients to the specialized department of injuries of the chest and abdomen of the Mariinskaja hospital at the period from 1993 through 2010. The diagnosis of injury of the pericardium and heart had 280 patients, during the operative treatment heart injuries were detected in 156 (55.71%) patients.
