[Surgical treatment of pulmonary metastases of colorectal cancers].

Introduction: Results of a retrospective study of patients who underwent pulmonary metastasectomies after colorectal surgery in the last five years are reported here. Prognostic factors are evaluated and analyzed in the context of current literature.

Material And Methods: 37 lung resections were performed in 33 patients between 2001 and 2006, the male:female ratio was 19:14.

Pulmonary embolization as primary manifestation of hepatocellular carcinoma with intracardiac penetration: a case report.

Intracardiac manifestation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a rare condition and an uncommon finding even at autopsy. Pulmonary tumor embolism as a presenting feature of HCC has been published only twice previously. In our case report, a 63-year-old man presented with high fever and six episodes of recurrent pneumonias during the last half year.

[Results of 300 kidney transplantations].

Kidney transplantation is a widely used method for the treatment o fend-stage renal disease. Between September 3, 1993 and December 2002 a total of 300 kidney transplantations were performed at the Department of Surgery at the Medical University of Pécs. In 24 patients simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplantation was performed.

[Clinical value of "zero-hour" biopsy in kidney transplantation].

We have performed 115 "zero-hour" biopsies of transplanted kidneys since 1994. Donor kidneys were divided into five groups, based on the morphological findings of "zero-hour" biopsies. No morphological abnormalities were found in 38.

[Surgical management of liver echinococcosis].

In the last ten years 62 patients were operated on by the authors because of liver echinococcosis. Each of the infections caused by echinococcus granulosus. In the course of the examination ultrasonography, abdominal X-ray, Casoni test and ELISA were used.
