Right ventricular heart failure (RV HF) is the leading cause of death in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Relevance of the low-risk status assessment using available diagnostic tools requires a reliable confirmation. The study aimed to evaluate right ventricular perfusion and glucose metabolism using positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) with [13N]-ammonia and [18F]-fluorodeoxyglucose ([18F]-FDG) in 30 IPAH patients (33.

Constant lightning had no significant effect on the levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone, thyroxine, and triiodothyronine under basal conditions in all animals, regardless of age and behavioral characteristics, but induced a decrease in thyroid function under conditions of its activation with thyrotropin-releasing hormone, mainly in old animals.

It is unknown whether young and older IPAH patients have the same survival dependence on PAH-specific therapy numbers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic relevance of risk stratification scales and PAH medication numbers in elderly IPAH patients in comparison with young IPAH patients.

Influenza circulation re-emerged with the dominance of new clades of A(H3N2) viruses in 2021-2022 and A(H1N1)pdm09 viruses in 2022-2023. In this study, we aimed to characterize influenza viruses during the 2022-2023 season in Russia, as well as investigate A(H1N1)pdm09 HA-D222G/N polymorphism associated with increased disease severity.
