Silver-Russell syndrome (SRS) is a syndrome characterized by prenatal and postnatal growth retardation, facial features, and body asymmetry. SRS is often complicated with hypoglycemia, whose etiology is unclear. We describe the clinical course of 25-year-old man with hypoglycemia.

Neurons migrate in a saltatory manner by repeating two distinct steps: extension of the leading process and translocation of the cell body. The former step is critical for determining the migratory route in response to extracellular guidance cues. In the latter step, neurons must generate robust forces that translocate the bulky soma against mechanical barriers of the surrounding three-dimensional environment.

Prevention of Protein Adsorption and Macrophage Phagocytosis of Perfluorocarbon-Based Microsized Core-Shell Artificial Oxygen Carriers by Facile PEG Coatings.

Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-coated microsized artificial oxygen carriers (AOCs) with a perfluorooctyl bromide (PFOB) core and poly(lactide--caprolactone) (PLC) shell were successfully fabricated using Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membrane emulsification. The PEG coating was achieved by adding the polylactide--polyethylene glycol--polylactide (PLA-PEG-PLA) block copolymer to the disperse phase during the SPG membrane emulsification process. During the DCM evaporation process, the three-layer structure of the PEG layer, PLC shell, and PFOB core of the AOCs spontaneously formed by phase separation.

Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of a multidomain intervention in preventing cognitive decline in older adults with type 2 diabetes and cognitive impairment.

Design: Eighteen-month, multi-centered, randomized controlled trial.
