Studies on the status of immune response in patients with rectal cancer have shown significant changes in the number of immuno-competent cells prior to the treatment, which were still more pronounced during and following the radiation therapy. The degree of immune suppression is dependent on the tumor spread, patient's age and a radiation dosage.

Twenty patients were followed up for over a 1 year period. The patients survival was found to depend on the degree of immunodepression during radiotherapy.

The patients were followed up during 7--12 months. The results obtained evidence the rationality of further studies in this direction, that is of special importance due to introducing of reconstructive--plastic operations on the trachea and bronchi into oncological practice.

Separate and combined action of Dimethylsulfoxid (DMSO) and Rimantadin on the reproduction of phages T--3, T--4, T--7 and lambda was studied. The maximum activation of reproduction of phages T--3 and T--7 by DMSO was observed for 6 minutes of latent period. At the same time this compound did not render the action on reproduction phages T--4 and, because they utilize cell RNA-polimerase.
