[Mechanisms of reparative action of a new repair and protect toothpaste].

The aim of the study was to assess clinical efficacy of Sensodyne repair and protect toothpaste as well as mechanics of its reparative action. Forty-eight patients (29 females and 19 males) were included in the study. The participants brushed twice daily with Sensodyne toothpaste.

[Optimization of dental caries prevention].

The paper presents the rationale to dental caries prevention concerning fluoride varnish optimal concentration, method of application and exposure on dental enamel of caries-resistant and caries liable persons. It was found that enamel-sealing liquid applicated on dental enamel for three minutes with рН 7,0 demonstrated the best preventive effect.

[Clinical and epidemiological characteristics of dental caries in individuals with various periodontal status].

The aim of the study was to assess caries intensity and growth rate as well as localization of cavities in patients with periodontal disease as well as individuals with intact periodontium. Some peculiarities of cavity localization in periodontitis patients are described (proximity to gingival marge, cavities in root cementum, rare vestibular lesions). Statistically significant difference in caries growth rate was also seen.
