Directed synthesis of novel water-soluble asymmetric porphyrins containing in a molecule three cationic fragments and residues of adenine (PorAD) was performed, using metal-complex catalysis method. The interaction of the synthesized porphyrin with the oligonucleotides poly[d(AT)2] and poly[d(GC)2] and double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid of the calf thymus (ctDNA) was studied by means of spectral and hydrodynamic methods. It was established that PorAD intercalated not only into GC-enriched regions, but also into AT regions.

The article analyses level and dynamics of morbidity of diseases of ear and mastoid in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in 2020-2021 and availability of otorhinolaryngological care. The methods of comparative statistics and mathematical analysis were applied to analyze official data provided by the Yakut Republic Medical Information and Analytical Center, the specialized Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Republic Hospital № 2 - Center for Emergency Medical Care and the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia. The study established increasing trend of increasing morbidity of these diseases in both the adult and child population.

Non-membrane compartments or biomolecular condensates play an important role in the regulation of cellular processes including DNA repair. Here, an ability of XRCC1, a scaffold protein involved in DNA base excision repair (BER) and single-strand break repair, to form protein-rich microphases in the presence of DNA duplexes was discovered. We also showed that the gap-filling activity of BER-related DNA polymerase λ (Pol λ) is significantly increased by the presence of XRCC1.
