The nursing profession is multifaceted and can encompass simultaneously diverse roles within various settings, including direct patient care, education, and research. In regular times, there is a delicate balance between mastering these three roles.

Taking responsibility for sexual health curricula content: A national study of Israeli nursing faculty.

Background: Little is known about sexual health education for nursing practice that nursing students receive in their undergraduate curricula.

Objectives: This study examined nursing curricula for sexual health content and the context in which it was taught. Faculty's professional background, attitudes, perceived barriers, and facilitators were examined.

Background: A single-tier immunoassay using the C6 peptide of VlsE (C6) from Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto (Bb) has been proposed as a potential alternative to conventional two-tier testing for the serologic diagnosis of Lyme disease in the United States and Europe.

Objective: To evaluate the performance of C6 peptide based multiplex Phosphorescence Analysis (PHOSPHAN) for the serologic confirmation of Lyme borreliosis (LB) in Russian patients.

Methods: Serum samples (n = 351) were collected from 146 patients with erythema migrans (EM); samples from 131 of these patients were taken several times prior to treatment and at different stages of recovery.

Changes in emotional reactivity and distress tolerance among heavy drinking adolescents during sustained abstinence.

Background: Negative affect and low distress tolerance have been associated with increased likelihood of alcohol consumption and relapse. This study utilized the Paced Auditory Serial Attention Test - Computerized Version (PASAT-C) to examine affective reactivity, cognitive performance, and distress tolerance during early abstinence among heavy drinking adolescents.

Methods: Participants, ages 16 to 18 (50% female), were 23 heavy episodic drinking youth (HED) and 23 demographically matched, nondrinking teens (CON).
