[The surgical treatment of patients with mechanical jaundice].

Bile-diverting operations in 386 patients with obstructive jaundice are analysed. It was caused by benign diseases in 202 patients (group 1) and by malignant tumors of the biliary tract and pancreas in 184 patients (group 2). Laparoscopic cholecystostomy was carried out in the first stage of treatment in each third patient.

[Relations between plasma amino acid metabolism and the functional state of the liver in inflammatory diseases of the gallbladder].

In 70 patients with acute and chronic cholecystitis, a change in content of free amino acids in the blood, which confirms involvement of the liver into a pathologic process, is noted. Operative intervention aggravates metabolic disorders. By day 7-10 after the operation, the amino acid disbalance more pronounced in chronic course of the disease retains.

[Surgical interventions for obstruction of the extrahepatic bile ducts].

The results of surgical correction of obstruction of the extrahepatic bile ducts in 279 patients are presented. The operation of choice was choledocholithotomy, which was added by papillosphincterotomy and external drainage of the common bile duct in indications. In obstruction of bile ducts of the tumor genesis, the different biliodigestive anastomoses were created.
