Ciprofloxacin is a pharmaceutical component used for treating various tract infections. This is considered as an emerging contaminant due to the release of unreacted components getting disposed into the water bodies. This component is effectively treated using renewable biomass, which is converted into a useful renewable low-cost adsorbent material.
