An Interesting Case of Vitamin D-Mediated Severe Hypercalcemia in a Patient With Renal Mass.

Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is the most common cause of hypercalcemia in hospitalized patients. The pathogenesis of HCM is often multifactorial. One of the rare causes of HCM is extra-renal production of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (or calcitriol), which is often seen in patients with lymphoproliferative malignancies.

Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe dipeptide carbon sensor for simultaneous detection of chloramphenicol (CP) and furazolidone (FZ) toxic residues in food samples.

In this work, we fabricated the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe modified carbon paste electrode (FPPO/MCPE) and used it for electrochemical detection of CP and FZ in a 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7). We characterized the Fmoc-Pro-Phe-OMe and applied it for the electrochemical detection of CP and FZ.

Injection of various substances into the penis for augmentation is an uncommon and concerning practice that can have serious consequences, such as skin necrosis, ulcers, suboptimal cosmetic results, and persistent edema, often requiring extensive surgical repair. In this article, we present a rare case of penile self-injection with Kanamycin ointment. We describe the clinical course of the disease and the management framework that was followed.

Despite significant progress in object detection and classification for autonomous vehicles, existing methods often struggle to generalize effectively to the conditions encountered on Indian roads.

Benign Giant Phyllodes Tumours Presenting as Fungating Breast Masses.

Breast masses presenting as fungating growths usually represent advanced malignancy. One remarkable exception is a benign phyllodes tumour. These tumours of stromal origin often exhibit rapid growth, resulting in pressure necrosis at the summit of the tumor causing fungation.
