Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment on meibomian gland disease.
Settings And Design: This is a prospective interventional study.
Methods: Seventy eyes of patients with dry eye disease undergoing three sessions of IPL therapy, 15 days apart, were included.
Background: Intraoperative teaching is an essential surgical skill, but there is little literature regarding trainees acting as trainers; we characterised these cases in paediatric laparoscopic appendicectomy.
Methods: This is a retrospective review of casenotes over two years (2015-2017) in a single tertiary paediatric surgical centre in the UK. Operating were: paediatric surgery Core Trainees (CT) (postgraduate year (PGY)3-4), Junior Registrars (JR) (PGY5-6) and Senior Registrars (SR) (PGY7+); collectively described as trainees.
Purpose: To highlight the utility of Colorectal Nurse Specialist (CNS) supervised parental administration of rectal washouts in the management of Hirschsprung's disease (HD).
Methods: Retrospective case note review of HD patients treated at a tertiary children's hospital in United Kingdom from January 2011 to December 2022. Data collected included demographics, complications, enterocolitis, obstructive symptoms and stomas.

Posterior polar cataracts (PPCs) have long been a concern for cataract surgeons due to their natural proclivity for posterior capsule rupture. Although problems can be avoided, there is no surgical procedure that can completely eliminate the possibility of posterior capsular rupture. Research reports a higher percentage of capsule rupture and related complications post surgical intervention.

Both NMR spectroscopy and crystallography as structural screening technologies have been utilised to screen the viral proteome for binding to fragment libraries. Here, we report on NMR screening of elements of the viral RNA genome with two different ligand libraries using H-NMR-screening experiments and H and F NMR-screening experiments for fluorinated compounds.
