[Identification of allelic state of leaf rust-resistance Lr34 gene in the cultivars of soft winter wheat of Ukrainian breeding].

The distribution of alleles at the Lr34 locus associated with leaf rust resistance among winter common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars of Ukrainian breeding was studied. Co-dominant molecular-genetic marker cssfr5 was used for detection of the allelic condition of the Lr34 locus.

[Efficiency of the clinical use of short-term controlled treatment (DOTS) in patients with new-onset destructive pulmonary tuberculosis].

Sixty-six patients with new-onset destructive pulmonary tuberculosis isolating Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT) received short-term controlled treatment (DOTS) and 117 patients were given individual treatment regimens. DOTS treatment could be effectively completed in 19.7% of the patients, but following 2 months the factors that forced individual treatment regimens to be used occurred in 80.

[Genetic stability of wheat to fusaria and its connection with trypsin inhibitor activity in seed].

The results of a complex estimation of hybrid lines isolated in F10 from a crossing octoploid triticale and winter hard wheat after a spontaneous hybridization of partially sterile plants with synthetic amphiploid H74/90-245 are presented. It is shown that neither contents of trypsin inhibitor nor resistance to fusarial rots conjugate with resistance to other diseases or to frost. Activity of trypsin inhibitor in grain endosperm allow a decision to be made concerning the presence of alien genetic material in the wheat genome.
