[Study of the process of diffusion of gentin tablets through the artificial lipid barrier].

Currently during medical treatment of the patients suffering with gastrointestinal system diseases, particular attention is being devoted to the medical remedies of plant origin, which allow its protracted use during these diseases without expressed negative influence on important functions and structures of organism. Study of the dependence of the diffusion rate of active substances presented here as a multi-component plant origin dosage form, from the dissolution profile of solid dosage form in gastrointestinal tract, is an actual biopharmaceutical problem, which gives an information about the completeness of release of the active substances from the dosage form and its bioavailability. Gentin tablets developed at the department of pharmaceutical technology of Tbilisi State Medical University, presents the phytopreparation recommended for the prevention and treatment of the diseases of gastro-intestinal system.

[Influence of Gentiana lutea L extract on blood coagulation].

The dry extract from the terrestrial parts of Gentiana Lutea was received in accordance to the developed by us general technological scheme. Study of the pharmacological influence of obtained extract on the coagulating properties of blood revealed that after its per os instillation into experimental animals the time of the formation of active thromboplastin reliably increases, while the time of thrombin and fibrinous cluster formation is shortened in comparison with those indices in the animals, that did not receive phyto-preparation, at the same time morphological appearance of the peripheral blood remains unchanged. Dry extract of terrestrial parts of Gentiana Lutea prepared in accordance to the technology recommended by us, together with widely known pharmacological effects, is characterized with new activity - influence on haemostasis.

[Technology of vitamins containing double layer suppositories].

At present ascorbic acid and cyanocobalamin are widely used in medical practice. Often they are administered simultaneously; chemically they are incompatible, as ascorbic acid (redox compound) inactivates cyanocobalamin. The combination of ascorbic acid and cyanocobalamin is the problem of pharmacy.

[Development of the technology of the substance of davikol and standardization].

Among wide assortment of pharmaceutical remedies, that use modern medicine as a weapon against different diseases, special place belongs to the ophthalmic pharmaceutical forms, and their development presents independent branch of pharmaceutical technology. Recently, as a reason of various diseases and among them ophthalmic problems, is considered free radicals and reactions with their participation. Protection of the organism from such diseases presents a main goal of antioxidant system.

[Optimisation of the conditions of particle sizing of gentamicin sulfate].

One of the problems for the development of dry powder inhalation preparations is evaluation of particle size distribution of obtained micronized powders for the determination of theoretical aerodynamic diameter of the particles. The final aim of our study is the development of inhalation dry powder formulation of gentamicin sulfate, therefore it is necessary to determine theoretical aerodynamic diameter of micronized gentamicin sulfate particles. Micronized gentamicin sulfate powders are very cohesive and do not have satisfactory flow properties, the shape of the particles is close to spherical.
