[Analysis of results of certification of bacteriologists in Georgia and the ways of its optimization].

Analysis of the certification of bacteriologists in Georgia (234 specialists) has shown that 164 specialists (90-100%) passed the certificate examination with high and excellent scores. It indicates to the importance of expansion of test-questionnaires as well as their complication by 8.8%-9.

[Complex study of the problem on accessibility to high quality medical care in the population of Georgia].

The problem of accessibility to quality medical care, involving quality improvement in primary and hospital care, professional development of health professionals, protection of consumer rights, confidentiality of the information on the health of the patient, etc. still remains a serious problem for the health system of Georgia. Study was based on the long-term observation of keeping the standards of quality of care in frames of providing high qualification and skills of physicians, working in primary and hospital care and on the detailed analysis of currently available material.

[Staged oxygen therapy for the prevention of oxidative stress in children with acute respiratory insufficiency].

The oxidant-antioxidant balance was investigated in 34 children with acute respiratory insufficiency before and during the oxygenotherapy. According to our results, the oxidant system activity was high among patients at exacerbation due to the antioxidant-protection inhibition. The processes of free-radical oxidization sharply intensify themselves during the oxygenotherapy with high FiO2.
